Ivanna Shubina is a dedicated and passionate faculty in psychology, with years of experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in different countries.

 

She is also an active researcher, with publications in high-impact journals. Her expertise lies in organizaitional and positive psychology. She also published studies in cognitive behavioral therapy, using theoretical background and practical experience in helping clients with various mental disorders and mental health struggles. She also has leadership experience in various roles such as research moderator, scientific event organiser, research project coordinator, immigrants and employer centre coordinator. She designed numerous classic courses (e.g.organisational psychology) as well as courses adjusted (e.g.modern problems in psychology) to major requirements by the educational institution. Additionally, she served in various academic committees and was active beyond academia contributing to the local and global community while working on an implementation of project financed by European Union (e.g.“Transregional Center of Labor Market”, “Working mother”, “New village”, “Diagnosis in preschool education”, “Key-qualifications – chance for development”).

II am certified therapist with more than 10 years of experience in cognitive-behavioural therapy for patients with various mental disorders, including depression, OCD, social phobia, panic disorder, GAD, PTSD, and eating disorders.

To extend her expertise in teaching psychology and mastery her psychotherapy she successfully finalised Self-Regulation Facilitator Program allowing for spreading contemporary knowledge about stress and effective copying strategies.

 Teaching psychology is a passionate journey full of opportunities and challenges at the same time. Teaching various subjects within psychological area allows to make students familiar with plenty of interesting and useful knowledge, such as:

  • the nature of human behavior in social situations,

  • the dimensions and inconsistencies of personality,

  • ways of measuring mental processes along with its challenges,

  • ways of improving and maintaining their well-being.

POSTGRAD PROGRAM: DIAGNOSIS IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION & PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Finding yourself in a new career settings might be a big challenge. To make it more efficient step, professional counsellors offer their services. Being a part of great European Union Project, Ivanna wrote a manual for professional counsellors, adjusting existing tools to needs and strategies to expectations and requirements of farmers. She also worked in the project as a career counsellor helping people to find themselves in their unknown new career

Project “From agriculture to the service sector”. 

Working with small children has it amazing features but also the significant challenges to overcome. It is important to be able to evaluate the development of the child in various dimensions appropriately. This course offers a comprehensive approach to diagnosing developmental delays in young children as well as methods for its managing. It designed specifically for preschool educators to deepen their understanding and develop practical skills in this area. The courses taught by Ivanna provide high-quality training that helps teachers to create a more inclusive learning environment, as we understand that every child is unique and has different needs and challenges.

Stang-up Meeting

Support and help for young generation in their professional development and career is extremely important nowadays. Ivanna and team come up with the idea of spreading "know-how" for professional counsellors as an international project financed by EEA and Norway Financial Mechanisms. Project aimed to achieve the following outcomes: 

  • ​Improving participants’ qualifications on career planning methods and labour market recognizing

  • Exchange and adaptation of the strategies, methods and tools in youth career counselling between partner countries

  • Promotion of useful practices and beneficial ideas about professional counseling for youth

  • Establishing partnership for cooperation of individuals and institutions dealing with professional counseling

Business Conference

Migration becomes a life style or pattern in people functioning. Effective adaptation in a new country includes professional adaptation as well. Ivanna was coordinator of centre for immigrants and employers wishing hire foreigners. Ivanna was responsible for

Our project offers complex support in the form of workshops and seminars designed to enhance the skills necessary for success in the labor market. We provided a welcoming environment where working mothers can learn and grow, knowing that a strong support system is behind them every step of the way.

TRANS-REGIONAL LABOR MARKET: CENTRE OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

As a research coordinator, Ivanna was involved in conducting international research and publishing reports that highlight shifts, trends, and industry challenges in the labor market among immigrants in Poland. She was also involved in coordination of the Consultation Center for Employers and Immigrants sharing her knowledge in the field, providing support and assistance for both immigrants and employers in solving significant issues. In addition, collaboration with mass-media, giving speeches in TV programs, interviews for local radio programs and newspapers was one of essential parts in Ivanna's duties.

Providing support to various social groups in need is essential for their effective adaptation in contemporary world. The above mentioned projects offer necessary knowledge and skills directed on successful development and growth of every participant. Ivanna Shubina was involved into preparing and conducting adjusted workshops and seminars designed to enhance the skills allow to be more successful in the professional development and labor market. A welcoming environment where participants could learn and grow was created.

Conducting studies and publishing reports based on received and analysed data allowed to gather up-du-date knowledge, suggest appropriate and relevant recommendations for staff and participants, public and governmental institutions, and NGOs.

The other way of sharing knowledge is international scientific conference, where specialists from various countries and institutions share their experiences, opinions and ideas for future collaborations.
